Pay What You Want: Inside a Star-Filled Sky

For a limited time, Jason Rohrer is offering his latest game, Inside a Star-Filled Sky, under a Pay What You Want scheme with a minimum price of $1.75.
Buying the game gets you the Windows version, the Mac version, and the source code, the latter of which is also Linux friendly. All of this is DRM-free, and you’ll also get all future updates at no cost.
The game is, at its core, a procedurally generated shooter, but it’s much more than that. There’s an obscene amount of weapons (think Borderlands, here), an even more obscene amount of levels (“2,147,483,647 after about 2043 years of continuous play”), and absolutely no bosses.
Quite honestly, it’s 8-bit art, which should come as no surprise since Rohrer developed such a unique experience as Sleep is Death. He attributes inspiration for this latest endeavor to titles such as Spelunky, Shoot First, Disgaea, Borderlands, Everyday Shooter, Psychonauts, Soul Reaver, and Prey. And that’s a lot of inspiration.
We don’t know how long this offer is going to last, so go forth and grab it while you can!
