Indie-fy Your Twitter Profile

If you love indie games and you use Twitter, I’ve got a great surprise for you. I regularly change my Twitter profile depending on the indie games I’m enjoying at the moment. My current profile is sporting Machinarium art with an appropriate color scheme and background, but over the past few months I’ve had all sorts of indie games featured, from Minecraft to Super Crate Box. Before now, I mostly just downloaded a new background, arranged the colors to match accordingly and went about my business, but I think it’s time to share the love.

Below, you’ll find five Twitter profiles all zipped up and ready to go for you indie fans. All you need to do is upload the background and use the hex color codes I’ve supplied in the small readme and you’re set to display your favorite indie game to all your Twitter visitors. The list is pretty small at the moment, but I plan on adding to it as I change my Twitter profile. Just click the picture of the profiles you want to download and enjoy!

Machinarium

Machinarium is a point and click adventure game by the makers of web games Samorost and Samorost 2, Czech independent studio Amanita Design.

Braid

Braid is a puzzle-platformer, drawn in a painterly style, where you can manipulate the flow of time in strange and unusual ways. From a house in the city, journey to a series of worlds and solve puzzles to rescue an abducted princess. In each world, you have a different power to affect the way time behaves.

Super Meat Boy

Super Meat Boy is a tough as nails platformer where you play as an animated cube of meat who’s trying to save his girlfriend (who happens to be made of bandages) from an evil fetus in a jar wearing a tux.

Torchlight

The adventure is set in the mining settlement of Torchlight, a boomtown founded on the discovery of rich veins of Ember – a rare and mysterious ore with the power to enchant or corrupt all that it contacts. This corruptive power may have dire consequences however, and players set out into the nearby mountains and depths below to discover the full extent of Ember’s influence on the civilizations that have come before.

Minecraft

Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine. At night monsters come out, make sure to build a shelter before that happens.
