Weekly Deals: August 14, 2010

There aren’t nearly as many indie deals this week, so I’ll make this brief and let you all get back to some awesome gaming.

Machinarium Sale Extended!

The fantastic $5 Machinarium sale has received such great reception, having sold 17,000 copies in just one week! To show their appreciation, the boys at Amanita Design have extended the sale until Monday, August 16th, so if you still haven’t picked up a copy, now’s your chance! After Monday, the game will return to its usual price of $20.

Digital Distribution

Week 2 of GamersGate‘s Summer Sale is Action Week, and while the majority of the titles for sale are not indie, there are still some awesome games for great prices that you would be wise to check out. However, indie puzzler Vizati is only $4.47, and well worth the price.

While there aren’t any new indie offerings this week on Steam, they do have a Booster Trooper free play weekend, in addition to cutting the game’s price in half, putting it at $4.99. It’s a sidescrolling, 3D space action shooter with some intense multiplayer and a whopping 260 Steam achievements, so if that sounds like your cup of tea, head on over to the free weekend and have some fun! The sale ends on Monday, August 16th.
